This paper seeks to examine the project of School Parks formulated by Carlos Vaz Ferreira and put it into play with the ideas that he displays in On social problems, where he tries to bridge the ingrained hiatus installed between freedom and equality. This option invokes the glimpsed link between the frustrated educational proposal and the “formula” devised by the author before the classic dilemma that opposes “individualism” and “socialism”: somehow, the social anchorage of his early project announces or embodies the commitment to that common base capable of granting the same starting point to men. An equalizing first plane aimed at ensuring the right to education, health and land of habitation, among other things.
